SEVENTEEN government sponsored students studying law at USP Emalus campus in Vanuatu have finally received their allowance last week after almost 14 weeks without an allowance.
The money was part of their first semester allowance.
The affected students confirmed this to Solomon Star on Monday.
Meanwhile, the students thanked the government for its continuous support and all effort put to ensure students received their money.
However, this paper understands, SIG students studying at various university institutions in Fiji are still waiting for part of their allowance for the month of May after the government only pay in FJ$300 (SBD$1300) to each student and promised to pay in their remaining $740 of their $1040 monthly allowance this week.
