Dear Editor – On behalf of the people in my community at Burns Creek, East Honiara I just want to express our deepest concern regarding the loud playing of music which used to occur every night.
We are tired of hearing the loud music every night till the morning in our community. We have found that it was very disturbing indeed when we try to sleep or do other things that requires silence.
To those who are inconsiderate of others and continue to play such loud music do know that we all have the rights to a quiet and peaceful environment.
It is common sense for anyone that night is the time to have a rest. But not to disturb others who need quietness rather than being disturbed with such loud music.
I call upon leaders and members of my community at Burns Creek that we need to implement by-law that specifically deal with this issue and work together with the police to put an end to it.
