THE Premier of Malaita Province, Elijah Asilaua has announced plans to visit regions across the province this year.
Premier Asilaua made the announcement at the opening of the OFI tribal reconciliation event last week in Buma, West Kwaio.
Mr Asilaua expressed his intention to tour various regions to engage with local communities and resource owners, discussing the future development of Malaita.
He highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation in achieving progress.
Mr. Asilaua reiterated that his government values cooperation and open dialogue as the key to development.
The presence of Malaita Provincial Assembly members, including the Provincial Minister for Lands, Johnson Osiramo; Minister for Eastern Regional Affairs, Hon. Jeremiah T. Su’uka; Minister for Agriculture and Livestock, Hon. John Daubo; and Member of Parliament for Ward 15, Henry Idu, marks the beginning of the Premier’s proposed regional tour across the province
The Premier highlighted the government’s readiness to work with resource owners who are open to development on their land.
