Malaita Provincial Education Authority Chief Education Officer (CEO) Andy Siarani has called on the Malaita Provincial Government to channel funding towards developing of schools multi-purpose halls.
Mr. Siarani made the call when officiating at the Maoro Christian Community School Administration and Library building handing over program on Monday this week.
While he appreciated the continuous support from the Malaita Provincial Government through the Provincial Government Strengthening Program (PGSP) in funding class rooms, science labs, staff houses, school admin offices and school library, he said its now time that the MPG look to fund multi-purpose halls in schools in Malaita.
He said most schools in Malaita province lack multi purpose halls in their schools and said this is one of the area that needs funding.
“Most schools in Malaita province need multi-purpose halls to accommodate students and staff during gathering and to help students and staff with their indoor games which will keep them healthy.”
“That is one important area that I want the MPG and the Malaita Provincial Secretary to aware of it and take note of it.”
The Malaita Education Authority CEO S said if Malaita Schools could have the facility in place in their schools it will definitely help the provincial school in their learning environment.
