All building materials for the new two-storey Agriculture Office Complex in Kira Kira, Makira-Ulawa Province, have now arrived on site, allowing construction work to officially begin.
The project is expected to be completed before June 2026.
In addition to the office complex, Makira Province will also benefit from a new three-bedroom house for the Chief Field Officer, fully funded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAL).
Meanwhile, construction of the two storey Agriculture Office Complex in Malaita is also progressing well.
Both projects are funded under the World Bank, supported Solomon Islands Agriculture and Rural Transformation (SIART) program, which aims to strengthen agricultural services and rural development across the country.
