MID West Football Club of ward three, West Kwara’ae, Malaita province has taken the lead in the Auki Capital League (ACP) with 15 points.
This was after they won their match against Aoke FC in a 2-1 result over the weekend at Aligegeo stadium.
From eight matches played, Mid West FC recorded four wins, three draws, and only one loss.
Head coach Jimmy Gau expressed satisfaction with his team’s strong performance at the start of the league’s second round.
“With the remaining matches ahead, we are confident in our preparations and determined to maintain our position at the top,” Gau said.
Close behind in second place is Ward 4 FC, sitting on 14 points from seven matches, with four wins, two draws, and one loss.
In third place, Central United FC has 12 points, having secured three wins, three draws, and just one loss.
North West United follows in fourth with eight points from seven games (two wins, two draws, and three losses).
Also on eight points but in fifth place is Aoke United FC, that played eight matches so far, winning two, drawing two, and losing four.
At the bottom of the table, Wales United FC managed to secure three points from seven games, with one win and six losses.
According to observation, both Ward 4 FC and Central United FC still have opportunities to climb higher if they win their remaining fixtures.
