NO date has been fixed for the ruling of the appeal case which Sumitomo Ltd lodged, challenging last year’s High Court ruling of its case against Axiom Mining Ltd.
The two weeks hearing before the Court of Appeal completed on Friday last week in the High Court.
It was heard by a three-panel judge – Justice Edwin Goldsbrough, Sir Gordon Ward and QC Margaret Wilson.
The two mining firms have engaged in a long-drawn legal battle over mining rights on Isabel, which ended in the High Court late last year when Justice John Brown ruled in favour of Axiom.
Sumitomo after making a detailed analysis of the decision decided to file the notice of appeal to the Court of Appeals.
