Minister of Education and Human Resources Development (MEHRD) John Moffatt Fugui assures students pursuing scholarship at the National Training Unit (NTU) office that they will all receive the opportunity to study abroad.
He revealed this on Monday afternoon after a short visit to the ministry’s Panatina office in East Honiara.
As usual the NTU office was crowded with students who were curious to know about their applications to study in universities overseas.
Upon their surprise the minister appeared with the encouraging news that revives the faded-hope of many.
The Minister urged new students not to be worried, since all of them will attend various regional institutions being accepted to pursue their tertiary studies, provided that they have submit all their necessary documents to the NTU office.
He said the delay is with the NTU, seeing that it is normal in this particular time of the year for the office to sort out hundreds of students’ scholarship within a limited time.
Hence, he reminded students to be patient and give time for NTU staff to complete their assessment work on the scholarship list.
