MISS Tulagi 2024 has donated a total of $95, 390.00 to the Christian Baby Box Initiative.
This is the result of the collaborative effort between Miss Tulagi and her co-sponsor, Cowboys Grill Bar & Restaurant to host a Charity Corporate Dinner Fundraiser at the Cowboys Grill Bar & Restaurant last weekend.
A joint statement from Miss Tulagi and the Cowboys Grill Bar & Restaurant said the fundraising brought together a diverse group of supporters who shared the common goal of supporting the Christian Baby Box Initiative in its mission to provide care and support to babies in need of care and support.
Founder of the initiative, Archbishop of the Catholic Diocese of Honiara, Chris Cardone OP, in the statement, expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming generosity shown by all those involved in the fundraiser.
He highlighted the importance of such contributions in enabling the Christian Baby Box to continue its vital projects.
Miss Tulagi 2024 together with the Cowboys Grill Bar & Restaurant also expressed their gratitude in the statement to business houses, companies and individuals who contributed to the success of the fundraiser.
“This shows the commitment to giving back to the community and supporting initiatives that promote the wellbeing of vulnerable populations.
“Their dedication to making a positive impact has not gone unnoticed, and their efforts to rally support for the Christian Baby Box demonstrate their unwavering commitment to social responsibility.
“The success of this fundraiser serves as a testament to the generosity and compassion of the community, showing that when individuals and organizations come together for a common cause, incredible things can be achieved,” the statement said.
Miss Tulagi 2024, in the statement, strongly called on every responsible Solomon Islands citizen and the private and public sectors to lend a hand to the voiceless.
The funds raised will go a long way in supporting the Christian Baby Box’s ongoing projects and ensuring this initiative can continue to provide essential care and support to those in need.
