THE Malaita Ma’asina Forum is calling on the infrastructure Minister Jimmy Lusibaea to ensure Johnny Sy is removed from the country.
MMF said it was surprising how a foreigner with a logging background could make his way easily up into the top domestic jobs.
“Johnny Sy is a logger and how he ended up being the president of the Forest Association in itself was another surprise.
“He then made his way into the SIPA board. Do we not have any other qualified people to be in the board?
“This is insane. He influenced the SIPA chairman and defied the Minister’s orders by going to Singapore.
“He was influential in this whole SIPA saga and must be removed from the country.
“What has this foreigner done for this country? He has logged our forests and deposits all his profits off shores.”
MMF said this country does not need foreigners with selfish interests.
“SIPA chairman would have been work harmoniously with the current SIPA CEO.
“We want the minister to ensure this person is deported immediately from the country before he messes up with domestic affairs even further.”
Pilipino Johnny Sy has been sacked with the SIPA chairman for defying the Minister’s orders in an unsanctioned trip to Singapore two weeks ago.
It was believed the two were there to hold talks with iBusiness Dynamics Consultants, a business they want SIPA to pay them $38 million for previous consultancy jobs.
SIPA CEO Colin Yow refused to pay the money and sent back consultancy workers of the Singaporean consultancy firm.
Mr Sy denied any involvement with iBusiness Dynamics Consultants.
