MORE than 1500 South Sea Evangelical church (SSEC) youths from Honiara will travel to Auki to attend the national youth convention to be hosted at Kilusakwalo, central Kwara’ae, Malaita province.
National Youth Coordinator Pastor Stanley Aitorea told the Solomon Star yesterday that the number is expected to rise up in the remaining days, before the departure this Thursday.
The convention will kick off on Saturday 25th next week.
Pr Aitorea said that youths from Makira are already in Honiara.
He added those from Western province are expected tomorrow while others from other provinces later this week.
He said that they have already received notification from the host that preparation is rolling on smoothly at the moment.
He added that all members must prayer for the event to make sure that Satan does not disturb the entire programme.
“We are looking forward for everyone to work together in spirit for the programme,” he said.
Pr Aitorea explained this event is purposely for the youths to come together to interact with each other and to be fed from God’s word.
SSEC northern region is hosting this youth convention.
