MEMBER of Parliament (MP) for Temotu Pele, Dudley Kopu has acknowledged donors that help him to complete the three water supply projects that was launched last week.
The three water supply projects were launched at separate locations in the Temotu Pele constituency.
“Many people around the world strive for water but we are lucky the donors namely Government of Taiwan and Solomon Islands Government are able to bring water to our door steps,” Minister Kopu said.
“So on your behalf; I would like to thank them for the kind assistance.
“For the last ages, our women especially found it hard to get water for drinking from under the ground but now, it is just at the door steps just because of those donors have been supporting us,” he said.
“Thank you for the support and my constituency will be working together with you for more support in the future.”
He said that the three water supply projects have cost more than $1million.
ROC has provided $537,800 and SIG with $505,223.59.
