WHEN Adam was created by God and lived inside the Garden of Eden he ate more fruits and herbs which allowed him to live long on this earth.
Therefore, its important for parents to encourage their children to eat more fruits and vegetables.
Thats the message the 30 young students of Naha SDA Early Childhood Education (ECE) centre in East Honiara and their parents learn during a one day event called ‘Adam’s first diet’ which comprises with of fruits, vegetable and herbs.
The students have been studying the Bible story of Adam and also learnt about his diet last week.
On Friday the class decided to host the event which serves as part of their health promotion program.
During that day the students with the support of their parents brought fruits to their class where they learn more about Adam’s diet at the garden of Eden.
During that program their teacher also highlighted the importance of eating more fruits at home and school.
Parents have been advised to encourage their children to eat more fruits at home so that they can enjoy a healthy lifestyle and also do well in their studies.
The young students were excited to be part of the program.
The centre also acknowledged all the parents who have contributed and supported the program by bringing fruits to the school where the students enjoyed sharing and eating together.
Naha SDA primary is one of the schools that encourages students to bring healthy diet and not junk food to school.
