Rennell Bellona Province has a new Premier. He is Hon. Eric Saueha who was sworn-in on Friday.
The election of Premier came after the former Premier Derek Pongi was ousted in a motion of no confidence conducted early this week.
The former Premier who is also the Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) for Lughu Ward 3 in a statement congratulated the new Premier after taking his oath in Tingoa.
“On behalf of the Office of the MPA for Lughu Ward 3 and the people of Lughu Ward 3, I would like congratulate Hon. Eric Saueha on your election as the Premier of Rennell Bellona Province.”
He pledges support to the new premier in working along with him in ensuring development in the province continues to roll.
“We pledge our full support and cooperation to you and your new executive team as you embark on this important journey.
“Together, we are committed to working towards the continued development and prosperity of Rennell Bellona Province,” he stated in his concluding statement.
