THE Catholic Mothers Ministry in West Kwara’ae Constituency, Malaita has received a brand-new 3-ton truck to support their church and community programs in Malaita province.
The vehicle was officially handed over last week by their Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. John Alfred Tuasulia.
The project was funded by tax payers through the Solomon Islands Government’s Church Grant under the West Kwara’ae Constituency.
Hon. Tuasulia thanked the Catholic mothers for their patience, saying the new truck will make a real difference in their ministry work.
He praised the group for organising themselves well and attended the handover ceremony as one of the project’s key beneficiaries.
Earlier this year, the Anglican Mothers Union also received a similar vehicle, making 2025 the first time in West Kwara’ae’s history that two church women’s groups have received brand-new trucks in the same year.
Hon. Tuasulia encouraged the Catholic mothers to use the truck responsibly, noting that it is a valuable asset that will support transport needs, church programs, and even income-earning hire services.
The Catholic Mothers Ministry expressed gratitude saying the truck will strengthen their outreach and make their planned activities easier to carry out across the constituency.
The vehicle is expected to arrive in Malaita this week.
