The mother who allegedly buried alive her new born baby in a shallow grave last year at Kaibia, Honiara is still without a lawyer.
The Public Solicitor’s Office will soon allocate a lawyer for Nelly Waitai, 34, and instructions will be obtained before May 12.
Ms Waitai appeared in the Honiara Magistrates’ Court and her case further adjourned.
She is facing one count of attempted murder in relation to the allegation on May 20, last year where she allegedly buried her new born baby in a shallow grave.
The newborn was rescued from a shallow grave her mother allegedly dug and buried her.
She was alive and taken to the National Referral Hospital where she received medical attention.
The baby was found on the early hours by a man who was on his way to the shop to buy his breakfast.
