THE Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock is conducting a one week training in Mandalua school for communities in north Malaita this week.
The training focuses on agriculture, climate change and sea level rise that is currently facing parts of the province and the country.
Provincial member for ward 5 Bernard Rexley Uguni said the training was organized to direct and assist village people to help them gained the knowledge of agriculture, climate changes and sea level rise.
“The Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministries of Environment are working together with village leaders in Mandalua and organised the one week training.”
Chairman of the Falau community Bobby Kalafiu is the organizer of the training.
A total number of 40 participants from the various communities within Mandalua region attended the training.
“Malaita goes towards worst level and the ministry conducted the training in order to help communities and level the students,” Uguni said.
The agriculture training started from Monday and will end on Friday.
