Solomon Contemporary Hit Radio Station, Paoa FM is organising a “Super-8” challenge for mum’s during the Mothers’ day weekend.
Based on the theme “A Healthy Mother, A Healthy Family”, the competition will include three sporting events namely, Netball, Volleyball and Soccer (Futsal).
The Paoa FM “Black Blazers” (Paoa FM team) for the past weeks had been busy organising the event, securing prizes for the event.
“This year we’ve decided to get Mothers involved in sport, so that they can bring out their families to support them, but most importantly as a way to get Mums to participate in sport,” Paoa FM’s head of Sales Caroline M said.
“We used to hold night events in Hotels and clubs, but this year we decided to promote a healthy lifestyle for mothers, come Mothers’ day Weekend.”
As it is a one-day event, the “Super-8” challenge only involves eight (8) teams per sporting event.
“We are urging all womens’ groups or working mums to register to be involved in this great Sporting event, on Saturday, the 9th of May, and there are only eight places for each sport,” Ms Caroline said.
“It will be a first come first serve basis.”
The Super-8 Challenge is only for Mothers and as such girls who are not mums will not be allowed to play, as has been the case in the past.
