PARLIAMENT has welcomed the new Clerk to National Parliament.
He is Clezy Rore, 51 years of age, who comes from Vella la Vella, Western province.
Mr Rore served as a Public Servant for 33 years, in which from 2001 to 2004 he works for Parliament as a Deputy Clerk.
He left Parliament in 2004 to do his undergraduate studies at USP and returned to work with Public Service. In his seniority with the Public Service, he held the post of Under Secretary for Ministry of Rural development and the Ministry of Education and Human Resources.
He recently graduated with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the South Pacific in 2012, and continued to serve in our Public Service until when he resigned last year to contest the National General Elections for the North Vella La Vella Constituency.
In an interview with Mr. Rore, he is confident and happy to be appointed as the Clerk to National Parliament as he looks forward to carry out Developments that are currently underway and new ones that are yet to come.
When asked if he has any plans to share and implement during his term, he said he has some plans in mind that will go well with the vision for Parliament to become autonomous but now his focus now is to serve the Members of Parliament to the best of his ability.
Mr Rore commences his duties as of today the 24th of March 2015.
