A PAROLED life-time prisoner has been re-arrested and is due to be back in court on 10th November 2015 for allegedly breaching the terms of his parole.
Karawasi Taisia has been placed in police custody since his arrest on 1 September 2015.
Police have charged Taisia for intimidation.
Taisia had been returned to police custody at Rove after his brief appearance at the Honiara Magistrates court yesterday.
Principle Magistrate, Jim Seuika adjourned the scheduled pre-trial hearing to Tuesday next week because Magistrate Fatima Taeburi, who was to preside over the case, was sick and could not attend.
During the brief hearing the prosecution was informed by the lawyer of the accused that the complainant was intending to withdraw the case.
The prosecution however, said while it took note of the information it had preferred the intention should be dealt with at the time of the next court hearing.
Taisia was convicted for murder and sentenced to life imprisonment on 18 April 2002.
He was pardoned and freed on parole by the Prerogative of Mercy Board on September 5th 2014.
Conditions of the parole include avoiding committing offences prohibited by the laws of the country.
The alleged victim in this case is a member of the accused’s family.
