The Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has congratulated the Malaita provincial government and the People of Malaita happy 33rd second appointed day celebration on Monday in Auki.
Prime Minister Sogavare who was the guest of honour during the 33rd Malaita second appointed day anniversary held in Auki Malaita province yesterday has congratulated the Malaitan people for coming this far.
He said the 33rd second appointed day is a special time that Malaitans come together and celebrate the achievement and success over the past years.
“The second appointed day should also be viewed as a time of reflection for the provincial government to stand back and visualize the challenges and assess the development achievement realised during the province’s 33 years journey.
“This time also gives an opportunity to assess and identify what areas the province can strategically improve on for the socio-economic advancement of the province as a whole,” he said.
The Prime Minister also calls on Malaita province to work together with other sister provinces and the national government to cooperate and work with in order to help Malaita fully realise her development potentials.
