Prime Minister Hon Manasseh Sogavare has invited the Sir Alan Kemakeza, Sir Paul Tovua and Mr Joses Tuhanuku to meet with him in his office about the cabinet decision for the government to provide rehabilitation packages to former combatants.
The Prime Minister said he has decided against continuing with the debate on the cabinet decision in the media as it has become too personal and benefits none of them and even the nation.
“I have decided that I will stop from engaging in the unproductive debate that Sir Alan, Sir Paul and Mr Tuhanuku and I have entangled ourselves in in recent days.
“I have noted that the debate has become too personal and we will gain nothing out of it.
On this note, I would like to invite these three statesmen to come and meet with me in my office so we can discuss the issue in a stately manner rather than attacking each other in the media.”
