Prime Minister (PM) Jeremiah Manele MP, has pledged 20-thousand Kina (SBD40k) to the Wansol Prime Ministers Charity Golf Challenge.
Prime Minister Manele made the announcement while delivering the vote of thanks at the closing ceremony of the Inaugural Wansol Prime Ministers Charity Golf Challenge in Port Moresby over the weekend.
Proceeds from the charity challenge will benefit a range of causes, including the Honiara Golf Club, hospitals and schools in the Solomon Islands, and the PNG Golfing Association Junior Program, providing lasting support for youth development and public services in both nations.
Prime Minister said, the landmark event brought together leaders, businesses, and communities from both Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands in a spirit of solidarity, sport, and support for worthy causes.
Prime Minister Manele expressed deep gratitude for the warm invitation extended by his counterpart, Prime Minister James MarapeMP, and commended the event as a testament to the enduring bond and partnership between Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.

Prime Minister Manele acknowledged the Papua New Guinea business community, whose collaborative efforts and generous contributions made the charity event possible.

The Wansol Prime Ministers Charity Golf Challenge will become a biennial event, further reinforcing the spirit of Wansolwara – shared Melanesian identity—between the two countries.
