Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare will be chief guest at Malaita’s Provincial second appointed day next week.
The 33rd celebration will be staged in Auki next Monday – the 15th August.
Malaita Provincial Secretary Jackson Gege said Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare will be the guest of honour during the celebration.
“Our guest of honour for the 33rd Malaita 2nd appointed day is no other than the Prime Minister of Solomon Islands Manasseh Sogavare himself,” he said.
The theme for the event is “Engaging Malaitans in Peace Building and Indigenous Governance for Community Resilience.”
The big day will be officially staged at the Auki Primary School (APS) field which will be followed by an official function at Hotel Malaita.
Other activities lining up for the day includes musical and cultural entertainments and and a mini show from cooperate business operating in Auki.
