A number of well-known Papua New Guinea (PNG) musicians are in the country to perform as part of the PNG’s independence celebration.
PNG is celebrating its 39th anniversary today.
A statement from the PNG High Commission office yesterday said the six member band, consist of Mr Robert Oeka, Basil Greg, Dika Dai, Garry Vaibua and two others who arrived yesterday to perform during the celebrations.
“The artists come under the banner of CHM Supersound of Port Moresby, PNG.
“They’ll be performing at the Telekom Grounds, Heritage Park Hotel on 16th September which is today, 19th and 20th respectively at Kokonut Café and IBS to celebrate the event,’’the PNG high com statement said.
Meanwhile the PNG High Commission also conveyed their appreciation to Mr Patterson Boso of Fashion de Happy Isles for arranging the 250 pieces of collar shirts/t-shirts/and official shirts for the Independence celebrations in Honiara.
“This is to boost and promote the private sectors in Solomon Islands.
“PNG high commission is glad and hope to get more uniforms from them in the future,” the statement said.
