PNW Enterprise, a local Auki-business based in Malaita has donated 50 bags of cement to assist with the Namobaula–Gwaisusuru feeder road rehabilitation project in the Central Kwara’ae Constituency of Malaita Province.
The donation follows a public appeal made by the local communities last week through the media, seeking assistance to restore the deteriorating road network that links several villages in the area.
Community members have welcomed the support, describing it as a timely contribution to their much-needed infrastructure project.
Coordinator of the Namobaula–Gwaisusuru Road Rehabilitation Project, Mr David Alufooa, expressed appreciation to PNW Enterprise for responding to the community’s call for help.
“We sincerely thank PNW Enterprise for supporting our road rehabilitation project with 50 bags of cement,” Mr Alufooa said.
“It is encouraging to see a young local entrepreneur step forward to support development initiatives within our communities.”
It is understood that this is not the first time PNW Enterprise has assisted community projects within Malaita Province.
Managing Director of PNW Enterprise, Mr Hamilton Young said the company’s contribution was a humble gesture aimed at giving back to the communities that support local businesses.
“This is just our small way of contributing to community development and supporting the people where we can,” he said.
Mr Alufooa said with continued collaboration between local businesses and communities, they remain hopeful of achieving tangible progress on the road project in the near future.
