MALAITA Province Minister for Health, Dickson Pola has called on all Malaitans to respect health properties in the province.
He stated this after noticing most people have no respect for health facilities in the public.
A fortnight ago, the Covid 19 central field centre in Auki was looted and vandalizes by some ignorant and rude people.
More than 20 chairs and other important medical equipment were stolen.
Mr Pola reiterate that such health facilities are very important as it establish to safe public and communities from the current treat of Covid 19 community transmission.
“I fully condemn the recent act of vandalism and looting of COVID 19 centre. People must respect such important services and continue to practise covid-19 measures and protocols” Mr Pola said.
In addition, Mr Pola encourages those who wish to travel from Honiara to Malaita to follow protocol by taking swab before boarding boats.
“People who wish to travel from Honiara to Malaita or Malaita to Honiara must follow the protocol by getting swab before board the ship” Mr. Pola added.
