POLICE at Tetere, northeast Guadalcanal, arrested a second suspect in relation to a murder incident at Dudula at Tasimboko area in 2011.
An off duty police officer spotted the accused working on the palm oil farm yesterday morning, when he quickly alerted the Guadalcanal Police headquarters which led to his arrest.
The accused saw police officers and immediately made his run but was caught as he was totally surrounded by RSIPF officers at the farm.
The suspect, who is in his 30’s, has been alleged to involve in two murder cases that occurred at Dudula in 2011 and at Tetere in 2012.
He escaped police since 2011 till his arrest this year. Police have sought to remand him at the Honiara Magistrate court.
Members of the public are urged to report to police any escapee, who are out in our communities and may pose threats and risks to innocent lives.
Police will continue to conduct its investigations on every case reported and allow justice to take its course.
