Director of the Kukum Traffic, superintended Charles Hapatia has applauded those drivers who continued to warn other drivers about the work of breathalyzer.
Breathalyzer is an equipment police uses to test drivers for alcohol level.
“I want to thank few vehicle drivers who were being caught by the machine, penalized and afterwards conduct awareness about the equipment to other drivers,” Mr Hapatia said.
He added that these drivers have confessed that, yes, the work of the breathalyzer is true and no one will hide as long as hey are tested.
“These few drivers were wise and I want applaud them for that.
“Making awareness was one way to inform people or other divers that they need to do the right thing.”
He said that this was a way forward for Honiara that everyone must work together to track down on drivers under liquor while still on the road.
“So far so good this breathalyzer has been helpful to police work in monitoring drunken drivers.”
