POLICE are continuing investigations into the spate of break-ins experienced around Honiara city recently.
Police Commissioner Mathew Varley said a series of these offences occurred over several weeks but investigation is ongoing.
“…we are well aware of it,” Mr Varley told the media during the weekly police media conference on Thursday.
He said police continue to conduct their high visibility operation in and around Honiara streets quite regularly and will continue to do so in the coming weeks.
“Obviously we don’t necessarily advertise when they are going to be occurring but I was briefed only yesterday by my senior officers we have further plans for those types of operation to target license premises and alcohol distribution in the city,” Mr Varley said.
He added that they will be particularly focus on anti-social behaviour.
