Box of marijuana seized in Isabel
A box containing marijuana drugs addressed to Haevo Port in Isabel Province has been seized by Buala police.
Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC), Isabel Province, Inspector Harry Poutz Vanosi, said Buala police officers were on routine mobile patrol when they encountered the matter.
PPC Vanosi said the team arrived at Haevo port when an adult male person approached them and handed them the box containing marijuana.
Inspector Vanosi said the person informed police that the box was left untouched, so he went to check it and hold onto it until someone comes to claim it.
Mr. Vanosi said it has become apparent that marijuana and kwaso are being shipped to Isabel.
“These substances are prohibited, and any person who is found to be in possession of such will not be tolerated and will be charged.
“Illegal substances posed a threat to the safety and health of our communities,” said PPC Vanosi.
The provincial police chief urges community leaders, parents, and individuals to work closely with the police to deal with such illegal activities in our communities.

Team Leader (TL) Police Constable (PC) David Liva said they have caught two crocodiles about 3 meters in length at Hagalu Bay and a 2.5-meter crocodile at Tokyo Bay.
PRD Director Superintendent Lionel Kapisa said “if your community has encountered a crocodile threat, you would have to call in at your nearest police station and fill the crocodile destruction form.”
Superintendent Kapisa said the form has to be signed by a village elder or chief. The service will be delivered when there’s enough funding available.
“If there is a crocodile threat in your community, quickly report it to the police. This service is established to keep community members safe from these predators.”
