Solomon Water customers in West and Central Honiara expects little water supply or nothing at all this evening due to power cut that affects the pump.
Solomon Water in a statement issued at 10pm tonight – Sunday 21st September said’
“Solomon Water would like to inform our valued customers that we are currently experiencing issues with our water supply system due to today’s (Sunday) power outage.
“As a result, most areas supplied from the Tasahe, Titinge, Skyline, and Lengakiki reservoirs will face low water pressure or no water supply due to low tank levels.”
The statement said, Solomon Water team will be rationing supply at East Kola and Lengakiki tanks to allow other reservoirs to refill.
“This may take up to 24 hours for the system to fully recover.”
Solomon Water has apologised for the inconvenience.
Parts of Honiara city experienced more than six hours of power blackout.
And this had affected many businesses and homes.
