Some staff at the Solomon Island Agriculture Quarantine Service (SIAQS) within the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAL), will be trained by an UK expert on how to operate the new quarantine incinerator machines.
Head of Operations (ag) within SIAQS, John Pupulu said the training would be conducted after the official launching of the machine next week.
“Our staff would get specialise training on how to operate and look after the machine.
“This training would be conducted by an UK specialist who will install the machine,” Mr Pupulu said.
Few staff identified to look after the machine would be trained.
“This training would include how to keep the machine, its operations and how to burn the rubbish using the incinerator,” Mr Pupulu said.
Meanwhile, Mr Pupulu thanked the specialist who travelled all the way from UK to install machine.
The UK specialist will return to UK this Sunday.
