Dear Editor – Unemployment is a serious concern in our country, especially among young people who have recently graduated and those who have dropped out of school.
Many people are without jobs, and the economic growth also slows down, which affects the overall progress of the country.
The government should take the lead by prioritizing investments in areas such as tourism, fisheries, agriculture, and small businesses, as these sectors can create jobs and support community livelihoods.
They should also provide vocational training and encourage entrepreneurship so that people can gain practical skills and become self-reliant.
If action is not taken, unemployment will continue to rise, causing poverty, a weaker economy, insufficient government resources and social problems.
I urge the government to act now and create more job opportunities as it is very important for the wellbeing of our country and its people.
Yours faithfully
