The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) will be conducting a short memorial service in honour of its first RSIPF Commissioner to the Solomon Islands, the late John Holloway who died on Tuesday 17 May at his home in Gold Coast Australia.
The late John Holloway was appointed as the first RSIPF Police Commissioner in July 1975, as he served in various department including as Head of former Special Branch prior to his appointment within the RSIPF units.
Late John Holloway had served the Solomon Island people as a Police Commissioner from his appointment in 1975 till 1982, when he pass on the task to Police Commissioner, Late Sir Fredrick Soaki.
The Royal Solomon Islands Police urged members of the public particularly those of late John Holloway friends and colleagues, both former and retired RSIPF members who had served under his Commissionership, to attend his memorial service.
The remembrance service will be conducted on Thursday morning, the 26 of May 2016 at the St Alban Church that will be commencing at 9 am after the Police Commissioners parade at Rove.
