The Solomon Islands National senior men’s team is set to face Vanuatu this afternoon – Thursday 20th November in the semi finals of the 2025 MSG Prime Minister’s Cup in Papua New Guinea.
This match is schedule to take place this afternoon 4pm PNG time (5pm SI local time) at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port moresby.
Vanuatu secured their spot in the semi finals after settling at the top of group B standing with 4 points. While the Solomon Islands settles as the runner up in group A.
Therefore today’s semi final clash will see the group B top taking on group A runner up.
So far the Solomon islands performnace in the has been notable but they need to step up their game to take Vanuatu who have shown strong form in the competition so far.
Given the team’s recent performace performance, this match promises to an intense and closely contested encounter.
Meanwhile, Solomon Islands head coach Josh Smith after their defeat to the hosts in the pool game, he said there are areas they dig deep on before their next match.
Star Sport understands that in the past days, the team have been working on the areas they need to improve before taking on Vanuatu this afternoon.
