Three Solomon Islands match officials are officiating at the OFC Futsal Men’s Cup 2025, which gets underway at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, Fiji this week.
Local referees Philip Mana, Rex Kamusu, and Fred Ete are taking charge of matches throughout the tournament and will be joined by two fellow Solomon Islanders — FIFA Technical Instructor Neil Poloso and FIFA Fitness Instructor Hugo Hebala, who will also play key roles in the competition.
“We are incredibly proud of the Kurukuru as they prepare to compete for the title, but we are equally proud of our match officials who have earned this prestigious appointment,” said SIFF Referee Development Officer Hamilton Siau.
Siau described the achievement as a historic milestone for Solomon Islands futsal.
“This is a testament to their dedication, skill, and the quality of our referee development programs.
“Having five officials appointed for this championship is a proud moment for Solomon Islands and reflects our strong standing within Oceania,” he said.
The Solomon Islands officials will be integral to the tournament’s operations, ensuring the highest standards of fair play and professionalism are maintained on and off the court.
The OFC Futsal Men’s Cup 2025 sees Solomon Islands, New Zealand, Vanuatu, Tuvalu, and hosts Fiji battle for regional supremacy this week.
