The highly anticipated Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Super Beach Soccer Challenge has commenced at the SIFF Headquarters Beach Soccer Pitch in Honiara over the weekend.
SIFF Futsal and Beach Soccer Development Officer Dickson Kadau confirmed to Star Sports that a total of 11 teams are being featured in this year’s competition.
“Most of the teams are Honiara-based, with a few coming from outside the capital,” Kadau said.
The 11 participating teams will be divided into three groups, with the top two from each group and the two best third-placed teams advancing to the quarterfinals.
The tournament runs from 2–15 November, giving local fans an exciting opportunity to enjoy top-level beach soccer action once again after a long break.
