SCHOLARSHIP application form for the Solomon Islands Government (SIG) sponsorship scheme is now being released this week, a report from the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development (MEHRD) has confirmed.
This is open for Solomon Islanders who have been employed and wishing to further their studies (in-service) as well as high school students who have finished their form seven studies (pre-service).
According to the Ministry, the SIG total scholarship intake for 2017 will be 288.
The areas of study which was on the opportunity list were Administration, Accounting & Economics, Tourism & Hospitality, Statistics & Demographer, Computing Information System, Land, Physical, planning & survey, Police, Justice & Legal service, Education-Technical & special areas, Engineering, Aviation & Maritime, Agriculture, forestry & Environment, Fisheries & Marine studies, Media & Journalism, Health, Economic & Productive sector health, Environment & Conservation finance, Administration & Management, Information Technology & Communications, Infrastructure & Engineers, and Government services.
Interested applicants can collect a copy of the application forms at the National Training Unit (NTU) office at Panatina Campus or download a copy from the Ministry’s website http://www.mehrd.gov.sb.
The closing date for all applications will be on Friday 5th August 2016 at 4pm.
