The Solomon Islands visitors bureau (SIVB) and the Solomon Islands chamber of commerce & industry have joined forces to raise money for local fashion designer Miss Lyan Tingiia.
This is to allow her travel overseas to attend a fashion festival.
Miss Tingiia designed the Crown for the recent Miss South Pacific Beauty Pageant.
She has received a formal invitation from the U.K to attend a fashion festival after her design was subsequently noticed by the international news media.
The fashion festival to be held in London, will allow her to showcase her designs and the appeal will raise funds for her trip as a joint initiative from the Solomon Islands visitors Bereau and SICCI.
