The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) held a parade at Rove Police Headquarters, West Honiara to celebrate a strong partnership between the law agencies recently.
The event, which was attended by the Hon. Prime Minister (PM) Jeremiah Manele, celebrated a strong partnership with the Australian Federal Police (AFP) through the RSIPF and AFP Policing Partnership Program (RAPPP).
The strong partnership is also part of the teamwork that contributed to the safe and successful hosting of the recent Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting (PIFLM).
The parade featured a display by the RSIPF’s Police Response Department (PRD) supported by RAPPP advisors, showcasing the professionalism, discipline, and preparedness of both forces.
The demonstration reflected how ongoing cooperation continues to strengthen operational capability and public safety.
Through the RAPPP partnership, AFP works alongside RSIPF to enhance skills, share knowledge, and provide operational support where needed.
This collaboration focuses on building confidence, resilience, and capability within the force, ensuring that both police organizations continue to operate effectively and side by side in maintaining law and order.

PM Manele commended the officers for their professionalism and highlighted the importance of teamwork and collaboration in strengthening national and regional security.
He acknowledged AFP, RAPPP, and other security partners as a model of shared commitment and trust that contributes to a safer Solomon Islands.
The event reinforced the enduring partnership between AFP and RSIPF, one that continues to grow through shared experiences, mutual respect, and a united goal of protecting and serving the people of the Solomon Islands.
RSIPF Commissioner Mr. Mostyn Mangau acknowledged members of the public, especially those in Honiara and Noro, Western Province, for working together with the police for a crime-free PIFLM event.
“Our working together makes this event a successful one. Thank you to our Crime Prevention Committees for working together with your police-RSIPF,” said Commissioner Mangau.
The police chief said, “Salute you, my officers, for the well-done job. You have proven that we can take the leading role to provide security for this country. Thank you, officers, for the well-done job during the event.
