THE Assemblies of God (AOG) Church’s Malaita region concluded their 2024 Sunday School rally on Sunday and the hosting responsibility for the next rally in 2026 was given to North Malaita.
The three-day program hosted at the Unity Christian Life Centre AOG Church in Bibisu village in West Kwara’ae brought together 400 plus children from Sunday school ministries from 4 regional zones of AOG in Malaita.
Zone 1 is North Malaita, Zone 2 is West Kwara’ae and Auki, Zone 3 is West Kwaio and Zone 4 is East Malaita.
Also joining the program was a delegation of Children’s Caregivers from New Plymouth West City AOG Church in New Zealand, who traveled to the country last week specifically for the program.
The delegation will leave this Friday.
The closing ceremony saw the handing over of the hosting responsibility of the next Sunday School Rally in 2026 by the Bibisu Unity Christian Life Centre AG Church to the Zone 1 churches.
The Takwa AOG Church in Lau-Mbaelelea Constituency in the northern region will host the AG 2026 Sunday School Rally.
A jubilant representative of Zone 1, Jerry Wilson Taenau said, they are very excited about hosting the next Sunday School Rally in North Malaita because they see it as a blessing.
“To us zone 1, hosting the next Sunday School Rally is a blessing that we welcome and we’re so excited about it. We want the number of children at the next rally to increase because we want God’s work to grow.
“The most important thing is we want to return all the honor and glory to God when we are doing his work on Earth,” Mr Taenau added.
