Henderson police have arrested a 33-year-old male person for an alleged murder incident at the Motor Pool in the Henderson area recently.
Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC), Guadalcanal Province, Superintendent Eddwin Sevoa said, “It was alleged that the suspect punched a 24-year-old male victim, later deceased, several times in his face and kicked him in his belly.”
PPC Sevoa said, “The victim fell on the ground unconscious and was rushed to the National Referral Hospital (NRH) and died in the afternoon on the same day.”
Superintendent Sevoa said, “Before the incident occurred, the suspect also dragged his wife to their house and punched her, and she fell on the ground unconsciously. While assisting the wife, the deceased appears, and the suspect punches him.”
The suspect was charged for murder contrary to section 200 of the Penal Code, is currently remanded at the Rove Correctional Facility, and will appear in Honiara Central Magistrates’ Court on a later date.
