On Saturday night Sullivans and Australian wine giant Tempus Two hosted a wine tasting at French restaurant Club Havana.
Winemaker Andrew Duff arrived in the Solomon Islands to host the event and educated guests on the wine-making process for this innovative wine.
The evening’s highlight was the tasting of Tempus Two Copper Wilde Chardonnay. This unreleased wine was the favourite of the night among guests who are among the first in the world to try this sophisticated new wine.
Duff took guests through the wine making process of the featured wines which included, Tempus Two’s ‘Sparkling Blanc De Blanc, Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Copper Wilde Chardonnay and it’s red wine collection, the Tempus Two Shiraz and Cabernet Merlot.’
He particularly shared his passion for the Tempus Two brand which is one of the most cutting-edge Australian wineries. The detailed explanation of how Tempus Two does things differently in wine-making really made the event stand out.
Event goers and wine enthusiasts enjoyed the evening with one guest calling it “a truly enjoyable night with great food, great wine and great company”.
Another European advisor and resident of the Solomon Islands said events like this are what keeps him in the Solomon Islands and this was fine wining and dining at its best.
Club Havana Chef Georges Paget prepared an amazing choice of food where guests enjoyed a three course French meal infused with local ingredients. The food was exquisite and the 75 guests were blown away by the quality.
Tempus Two was founded in 1997 by one of Australia’s most iconic and revered wine families, the McGuigans, whose wine making history dates back our generations to 1869.
Sullivan’s continues to be driven by the providing customers with quality wines at a reasonable price. Also, wanting customers to know their products they are dedicated to more events where customers can enjoy wine tasting and educating.
The wine maker will return to the Hunter Valley on Tuesday following a quick visit through Vanuatu and Fiji.
