THE search for the two ‘dangerous’ men who escaped lawful police custody last week is still on.
The two men Frank Firimolea, 29 and Eric Nathaniel, 24 both from Malaita Province were arrested in connection with a violent home invasion incident at Panatina Ridge in Honiara on 13 October 2017.
The two men were charged with armed robbery offences and had appeared in the Magistrates Court last Wednesday where they were remanded in custody. However, they escaped from the court grounds as they were about to be transported to the Rove Correctional Centre.
Police continued their search over the weekend but were unable to locate them.
A statement from the Police Media Unit yesterday said there were no reports about any arrest of the duo as of yesterday afternoon.
“Police appeal for public and community assistance in providing information still stands,” the statement said.
“The two men are criminals and police regards them as dangerous.
“The Public is advised not to approach them but call police if sighted,” it added.
