ONE of the country’s prominent leaders Paul Tovua has been knighted by His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales yesterday at the Government House.
Tovua was knighted for the most distinguished order of Saint Michael and Saint George, the Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of Saint Michael and Saint George (KCMG).
He will now be called Sir Paul Tovua.
He was awarded for his service to politics and the community.
Tovua has becoming the third to be knighted this year following the knighthood of Sir David Vunagi and Sir Leslie Boseto.
Boseto was knighted as the Knight Commander of the British Empire, KBE- for services to the church, rural and community development.
Meanwhile, a number of people have received their awards from The Prince of Wales at Government House, Sunday.
