A trauma healing training ended at Holy Cross Cathedral Parish on the 10th September 2015, organised by the Holy Cross Cathedral Parish Pastoral Council Education Committee Chair, Francis F. Lidimani.
This was a second time of such organised programmed taken place at Holy Cross. The first was the food safety and Hygiene training, facilitated by the Honiara City Council Health Division.
The recent trauma healing awareness was facilitated by Fr. Patterson J, Nglihesi Anglican Commission on Justice, Reconciliation and Peace, and the Alcohol/Drugs Abuse Awareness was also given at the trauma healing training.
All these talks given during the four days programme has given the ten participants an eye opener, that in most cases, people live with Trauma and how to solve it is another way of us to know well to go about doing it.
A contributing factor of all these causes is alcohol/drugs, which contributes too many social problems that happen in families, communities and country as a whole.
There will be another trauma workshop planned for October.
