SUVA, (FBC NEWS) — Fiji’s weightlifter Manueli Tulo has won a gold medal in the 56 kg category at the Australian Open Championships.
Tulo lifted 108 kgs in the Snatch and 134 kilos in the Clean and Jerk for a total of 242 kgs.
Also in Australia, Fijian duo Sally Yee and Grace Yee bundled out in the semi-finals of the Under 21 Grade Women’s Doubles at the Oceania Championships.
The Yee sister lost to New Zealand by three games to one.
Meanwhile Leslie Copeland took part in the Perth Classic and the Sydney Classic events.
He recorded a throw of 74 point 36 meters and 73 meters respectively.
