LOCAL Churches within Visale Catholic Parish in Northwest Guadalcanal will celebrate the year of the children starting 18th this month.
Solomon Star’s Northwest Guadalcanal John Toki told Solomon Star on Moday that year of the children is an event in the Catholic Calendar for children to come together and celebrate with some activities to build their lives up.
He said during the programme, the children will also cover Sunday school trainings, train children how to read and furthermore learn about the mother dialect of Guadalcanal province.
Mr Toki said that Chiefs will be there to talk about customs and cultures.
Police will also there to talk about law and order of the country.
Toki said that this is programme for the children this year.
The programme will close at 23th this month.
