Visale community high school in North West Guadalcanal received two laptops from Taiwanese volunteers last week.
The gift was part of building relationship with people of Solomon Islands and assisting the school.
Speaking on behalf of the Taiwanese students Zuyang Weing said they were pleased to assist the students and their school.
She said they believe that the gift symbolizes a good relationship between the two countries.
“Despite the small gift we believe that it will create a bond between us,” Zuyang said.
Speaking on behalf of the students and teachers Sister Veronica Boki said the two new lap-tops will make a big difference for the school especially teachers who can use it for power point presentation and lesson preparations.
She said buying such item is very expensive therefore the gift was timely.
“Such gift is a sign of friendship that the school will always remember when using the lap-tops.”
The school management had been urged to take good care of the new laptops.
